ggLeap CEO Speaks on SportsUNITED Esports Panel

On March 2nd, ggLeap CEO, Zack Johnson, was honored to be an addition to an esports panel for Indianapolis based tech catalyst SportsUNITED. This two day event was a prototype for what they hope to create as a technology hub and co-working space for those focused on technological innovations in the sports industry. Overall, close to 100 people came out to check out the co-working space prototype and to learn more about the booming esports industry.

Included in this event was a League of Legends scrimmage between esports club teams from IUPUI and Butler University, both striving for competitive esports programs at their respective universities. Each respective team fought valiantly, but the IUPUI Jaguars team came away with the win.

About the Esports Panel

The esports panel brought together individuals from different walks of the esports space to discuss the explosion of esports around the world and how it can specifically impact the Indianapolis community.

The panel was led by Lawrence Walter of Sports United and guests included the following: Cody Parrent, Director of Esports Operations with the Indiana Pacers, Zack Johnson, CEO of ggCircuit and founder of eBash Game Centers, Cara Barreto, CEO of GameOn Esports Center, and Noah Pumphrey, President of Gamers Hall @ IUPUI.
